When Does The Train Run?
It will operate every day except Tuesday. According to Abhishek, the return Udaipur–Surat service (26904) begins on Saturday, October 3, while the Surat–Udaipur train (26903) starts from Surat on Sunday, October 4. Booking for 26903 opened on Thursday.
What Are The Timings?
Train 26903 leaves Surat at 6.10am and reaches Udaipur at 1.40pm the same day. Train 26904 departs Udaipur at 3.35pm and arrives in Surat at 11pm. Each run takes roughly seven and a half hours, covering around 690 km. Passengers leaving Surat can be in Udaipur by early afternoon, while those returning are back by late night.
Where Will It Stop?
In both directions, the train will halt at nine stations: Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand, Maninagar, Asarva (Ahmedabad), Himmatnagar, Shamlaji Road, Dungarpur and Zawar. Ahmedabad-bound commuters can board at Maninagar or Asarva, while Vadodara and Anand passengers get a direct link towards Rajasthan.
What Coaches And Fares Can You Expect?
Railway officials said the train will have Executive Chair Car and AC Chair Car coaches. Fares were not part of the announcement, but they will be displayed at the time of booking on the IRCTC website or at PRS counters.
Does It Replace An Existing Service?
Railway information indicates the existing Udaipur City–Asarva Vande Bharat has been extended to Surat, rather than a separate train being added on that stretch. Services run on six days to allow for maintenance on Tuesdays.
What Should Commuters Do Now?
Those planning travel from the first weekend should check seat availability on IRCTC or at the nearest reservation counter. The announcement did not specify when booking opens for the return train, 26904, so Udaipur-origin passengers should keep checking IRCTC for updates.
