Residents Alarmed Over Structural Concerns
All towers in the society have a basement parking area, with the pathways in front of the towers forming the roof of the cellar below. The appearance of cracks in the pathway in front of Tower B-14 has caused alarm among residents, raising renewed concerns about the structural integrity of the construction.
Residents have been demanding a structural audit for a long time, citing repeated concerns about the quality of construction. However, no action has been taken by the authorities or the builder so far.
Sudden Vibrations Spark Fear
On Tuesday evening, residents reported unusual vibrations caused by the movement of vehicles on the pathway. “We noticed that the pathway was shaking and had developed cracks. It felt like the ceiling of the basement might collapse. We were extremely scared,” said a resident of Tower B-14.
Vehicle Movement Restricted
Following the incident, the society’s maintenance team was informed, and vehicle movement near the area was immediately halted as a precautionary step.
Civil Team Begins Repairs
After the issue gained attention, a civil engineering team arrived at the site and began repair work. The team is now assessing the extent of the damage to determine the root cause and implement necessary fixes.
