Noida: This news is not good at all for those who have booked flats in Sports City in Noida. In the name of Sports City, land was acquired from farmers at cheap rates. At the same time, investors were also misled. The situation is that the land on which flats were to be built, out of which 16.2512 hectares of land of 15 Khasra numbers was returned to the district administration on 24 December 2014. That is, with the nexus of the officials of the authority and the builders, investors were made to invest in those flats, which are only on paper.

The authority had made an action plan to build a sports city

Yamuna Authority CEO Dr Lokesh M said that after the order of the High Court, a study is being done in this matter with the Law Department. According to information received from sources, a big scam has happened in Sports City allotment. The land has been given at cheap rates for just 10 per cent of the amount. After allotment, the builders did not fulfil the terms and conditions. Residential and commercial space was sold at high prices. During the Commonwealth Games in 2008, the authority had prepared an action plan to build a sports city.

The land area can increase or decrease

In this, three sectors, namely Sector-78, 79 and 101, were reserved for the Sports City. Janadu Estate Private Limited (Consortium) was given 7,27,500 square meters of land. Possession of 7,03,001.80 square meters of land was also given. For the rest of the land, the builder was told that as soon as the rest of the land becomes available, possession will be given as per the brochure conditions. The land area can increase or decrease. The reason was that the authority did not have the land available.

What is the reason for giving land to builders at cheap rates?

The Supreme Court returned the entire land of Sector-101. Due to this, this sector was out of the Sports City. Only 12.6788 hectares of land was left in Sector-79. Whereas group housing and commercial buildings have been built in Sector-78.
If the authority. that did not have land, then why was land given to builders at cheap rates in the name of Sports City. Now the builder is crying about not getting the dues of the plot price. Whereas the builder has gone against the authority in the National Company Law Tribunal (La Tribunal) saying that he did not get the land. Under the guise of this, he also took advantage of the interest waiver. The builders earned a lot by selling space for flats and shops.

The process of acquiring land started in 2011

The authority did not even acquire the land of the farmers. Most of the land belonged to the Gram Sabha. Allotment for Sector-79 was done on paper without any land. The process of acquiring the land was started by the administration after 3 years in 2011. On 20 February 2014, a lease agreement was signed in favour of the authority for 30 years for 28.9300 hectares of state government land located in Soharkha, Zahidabad.
