Greater Noida West: Shopkeepers of Palm Street and Madison Square Market of Rise Project Private Limited staged a sit-in protest against illegal business activities on November 23, 2024. This protest was organized by the builder against business activities like illegal kiosks, Moti Mahal Restaurant and Naush Cafe in the common area which have been operating for a long time.
Trouble increased due to illegal activities
Shopkeepers say that due to these illegal activities, the way has been obstructed for the people coming to the market. Apart from this, the safety of the people is also being played with due to illegal electricity, water and gas connections. Shopkeepers complained to the local police station and Greater Noida Authority several times in this regard, but no action was taken.
Protest expressed in the builder’s office
After the sit-in protest, the shopkeepers reached the marketing office of Rise Builder and expressed their displeasure. They met the officials of the builder’s marketing and maintenance team and lodged their complaints regarding illegal activities and other problems. The shopkeepers made it clear that if these problems are not resolved soon, the protest will be intensified.
Anger due to non-resolution of problems
The shopkeepers also alleged that the builder had not paid any attention to their problems for years. They say that due to illegal activities, not only their business is getting affected. But the reputation of the market is also getting negatively affected. Through this protest, the shopkeepers have demanded from the administration and the builder that these illegal activities should be stopped immediately.
