Noida, July 18: A plantation drive was organised at Children’s Park in Sector 51, Noida, with residents, students, teachers, RWA representatives and officials coming together to promote environmental conservation and increase the city’s green cover.

The drive was held at 11 am on July 18, 2026, with participants planting fruit-bearing saplings across the park.

The initiative was aimed at contributing towards a greener Noida, reducing pollution and soil erosion and creating greater awareness about the importance of trees in tackling the impact of global warming.

Students And Residents Participate

Office-bearers and residents of RWA Sector 51, students and teachers from Ryan International School, Sector 39, Noida, and members of the DD RWA Federation participated in the plantation activity.

The participation of school students added an environmental education component to the initiative, encouraging the younger generation to understand the importance of protecting and increasing green spaces.

Officials Join Plantation Drive

Officials from various departments also participated in the programme.

From the Noida Authority, OSD Indu Prakash was present. The police department was represented by Additional DCP Manisha Singh and ACP-3 Rakesh Pratap Singh, along with their teams.

YSS Foundation Director Sachin Gupta and members of his team also participated in the plantation drive.

The programme was organised under the leadership of DD RWA Federation President N.P. Singh, while Federation Vice-President Anil Khanna was also present.

RWA Sector 51 Team Plants Saplings

Representatives of RWA Sector 51 who participated in the plantation drive included General Secretary Sanjeev Kumar, Vice-President Pawan Kumar Sharma, Treasurer M.G. Agrawal, Joint Secretary Manish Baweja, Saurabh Jain, A.K. Sareen, Manmohan Marwaha and Srinivasulu, along with members of their respective teams.

Participants planted fruit-bearing trees and called for continued efforts to expand green spaces across Noida.

‘Plant Trees Today To Protect Future Generations’

The organisers said increasing tree cover is essential for creating a healthier environment for future generations.

The plantation drive also focused on the need to collectively address issues such as air pollution, soil erosion and rising temperatures.

The organisers gave the message:

“If we want to protect future generations, we must plant trees today.”

The programme concluded with an appeal to residents and institutions to continue participating in environmental initiatives and contribute towards making Noida a greener and cleaner city.
