Greater Noida West: A resident of Samriddhi Grand Avenue, Greater Noida West, has expressed serious displeasure after the police allegedly failed to register a First Information Report (FIR) in a bike theft case. The incident has also raised questions about the society’s security system and the accountability of its maintenance agency (JLL Maintenance).
Resident’s complaint
Piyush Kumar, who lives in Tower M-1404, reported that his TVS Apache 180 RTR (Blue), UP16 BE 2882, was stolen from the Basement-1 parking on October 22, 2025. When he went to retrieve his bike on October 25 at 4 PM, it was missing. He filed an e-FIR (No. 2025001117844, dated 25/10/2025, 8:35 PM) on the Uttar Pradesh Police portal. Despite submitting a complaint at the Nirala Greenshire police outpost, he alleges that a formal FIR has not been registered yet.
Security concerns raised
Kumar also criticised the society’s security management, calling it “deplorable” and alleging that the maintenance agency JLL shirked responsibility by saying security operations are “not under their control.”
He listed multiple lapses in security:
- No entry records for two-wheelers: Guards reportedly don’t maintain a log for vehicle entries.
- Non-functional CCTV cameras: “More than half of the cameras are not working,” he said.
- Blurred exit footage: The exit gate camera view is obstructed by the national flag, resulting in a blurred image that makes identification difficult.
Calling the situation “alarming,” Kumar urged police to immediately register an FIR and requested higher authorities to investigate the society’s poor security setup and fix accountability on JLL Maintenance to ensure residents’ safety and property protection.
