Greater Noida: The Residents’ Welfare Association (RWA) of Sector Beta-1 has raised concerns over indiscriminate garbage dumping by some residents despite the availability of door-to-door waste collection services. The association has appealed to residents to dispose of household waste responsibly and warned that repeat offenders may face penalties.
Resident Caught Dumping Garbage
According to the RWA, a resident was recently caught dumping household garbage outside another person’s house near House No. E-104 in Sector Beta-1. When confronted by local residents, the individual picked up the waste and took it away.
The incident has once again highlighted the need for greater civic responsibility among residents.
Door-to-Door Waste Collection Already Available
The RWA pointed out that garbage collection vehicles visit every lane of Sector Beta-1 daily to collect waste directly from households. Despite this facility, some people continue to dump garbage on roadsides and outside neighbouring homes, creating unhygienic conditions and affecting the cleanliness of the locality.
RWA Appeals for Public Cooperation
While the association is making continuous efforts to keep the sector clean, such irresponsible behaviour undermines these initiatives. Residents found violating waste disposal norms are being identified and counselled. If they continue to flout the rules despite repeated warnings, the RWA will initiate penalty proceedings against them.
