RG Residency: Grand celebrations of Basant Panchami with paintings and prayers

Noida: On the occasion of Basant Panchami, a program of havan, Saraswati puja and painting competition was organised by the children at RG Residency, Sector 120. The theme of the painting was “Clean India Healthy India” and “Environmental Protection”.

These were performed under the coordination of Dr. Munish Prakash Agarwal and the direction of Shiv Awasthi, Dr. Gunjan, Ragini Rohatgi, and Tulika. Kumari Nehal, Vanya, Vimarsh and Gauri took great interest in the poojan and offered prayers to Maa Saraswati. After this, a painting competition was organized in three groups of Shishu Varg, Bal Varg and older age. 75 children including Devyani, Charvi, Anya, Advik, Aditi Agarwal and Shivanshi participated in the competition.

‘Infused fresh consciousness and new energy in people’

After the competition, Kumari Drishti Vaishya presented Saraswati Vandana. Dr. Munish Prakash Agarwal, the coordinator of the program, while highlighting the importance of Basant Panchami and Saraswati Pujan, said, “With the commencement of spring, we get relief from the cold, stiffness and lethargy of winter. In the king of seasons, spring, there is an atmosphere of joy and happiness everywhere. Nature blossoms and becomes fragrant and infuses fresh consciousness and new energy in people.”

‘Basant Panchami is also very important from a historical point of view’

Dr Agarwal said that Maa Saraswati is the goddess of knowledge, wisdom, music, art and science. On this day, all writers and artists worship Mother Saraswati while exhibiting their art. Basant Panchami is also very important from a historical point of view. Veer Haqiqat Rai sacrificed his life on this day to protect his religion.

Inspirational day for many reasons

Emperor Prithviraj Chauhan attained martyrdom on this day while protecting the nation. Famous saints and revolutionaries Ram Singh Kuka and Suryakant Tripathi Nirala were also born on Basant Panchami. One also gets the opportunity to get inspiration from the lives of great men on this day.

In the end of the program, Kumari Devyani presented Prerana Geet and Kumari Drishti presented the national song Vande Mataram. Prizes were distributed to the participants of the painting competition and the program was concluded after the distribution of Prasad.

Dr Meera Rawat, Archana Vaish, Rajni Agarwal, Ashok Bindlish, Gaurav Bhatnagar, Hrishikesh Bhave, Karan Bhatia, Harish ji, BB Gupta, Ashwini Gupta, Anil Jain, Ram Narayan Moge, Pramod Chauhan and other dignitaries and women power were present in the program. The program was presided over by famous social worker Praveen Kumar and the program was successfully conducted by Ramkishan Agarwal.
