Plot Scheme: An opportunity to own a home only for a few lakhs.A relief plot program for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) is set to be introduced by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA). For those hoping to buy a property in affluent neighborhoods like Noida and Greater Noida, this plan can be a huge help.
It should be noted that under this scheme, land has been identified in sectors 18 and 20. This proposal will be discussed in the board meeting scheduled for June 18. The scheme will be launched after the board’s approval. In the first phase, 8,288 plots will be allocated, each priced at 7.5 lakh rupees. Applicants will be able to build two-and-a-half story houses on these plots.
Sale prohibited for 10 years
According to YEIDA, the plots will be allocated at minimum rates and payment will be available in installments. However, there will be a condition that applicants will not be able to sell the plots or houses for 10 years. This scheme will allow people from low-income groups to build homes in expensive areas like Yamuna City, where land prices are skyrocketing. In the coming months, a phased plan for 20,000 plots will be introduced. Only residents of Uttar Pradesh, whose annual income is below three lakh rupees, will be eligible to apply.
