Greater Noida West: A security guard was allegedly assaulted by a tenant inside a lift at Supertech Eco Village-2 in Greater Noida West following a dispute over car parking. CCTV footage of the incident, which reportedly took place on September 15, has surfaced on social media.
The incident took place in the B9 tower of the society under the Bisrakh police station area. According to the society’s security in-charge, Alok Singh Yadav, the tenant, identified as Naveen Paswan, was living in a rented flat with his family.
Dispute started over parking
According to the security in-charge, the dispute began after Paswan allegedly parked his car improperly in the parking area. A neighbouring resident complained to the security team, following which the guard approached Paswan and asked him to park the vehicle properly.
The altercation escalated inside the tower’s lift. CCTV footage reportedly shows Paswan slapping the security guard, following which the two men got into a physical altercation. A woman can also be seen attempting to intervene and separate them.

The incident was captured by the CCTV camera installed inside the lift. The footage shows the two men involved in the altercation before the tenant eventually leaves the lift. The video has subsequently circulated on social media, bringing the incident into public attention.
Police register complaint, Tenant released
Following the incident, the security guard and society management filed a complaint against Paswan at Bisrakh police station. Police took him into custody and registered a case in connection with the alleged assault. He was later released. The Times of India reported that police registered a non-cognisable report in the matter and said further investigation was underway to establish the sequence of events.
Rented flat being vacated
Following the incident, the society management has contacted Paswan’s landlord regarding the rented flat. Security in-charge Alok Singh Yadav said the tenant has been given time until September 30 to vacate the premises. According to Yadav, the additional time was given because Paswan has young children. He said the flat would otherwise have been sought to be vacated immediately.
