Greater Noida: An IT engineer was seriously injured after being attacked by a German Shepherd dog inside the premises of Paramount Golf Society in Greater Noida. The incident has triggered panic among residents and raised serious questions over the enforcement of pet safety guidelines in residential societies.
According to residents, the incident occurred when a woman was walking her German Shepherd inside the society. During this time, IT engineer Hillol Chowdhary was suddenly attacked by the dog, which bit him and caused severe injuries. He was immediately taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
Following the incident, a complaint was lodged by the victim with the Paramount Golf Forest Society management. However, residents allege that despite the complaint, no concrete action has been taken against the dog owner. It is also alleged that the society management failed to provide any satisfactory response, leading to growing anger among residents.
Residents have expressed strong resentment against the builder management, stating that if pet-related rules are not enforced strictly, such incidents may continue in the future. They emphasized that the issue concerns not just one individual’s safety but the safety of the entire society.
Residents further pointed out that children, elderly people and other residents are at risk if guidelines are ignored. As per existing norms, dogs must be kept on a leash in public areas and aggressive breeds should wear a muzzle. However, residents claim that these rules are being openly violated within the society premises.
The incident has once again brought the issue of pet management and safety norms in high-rise societies under the spotlight, with residents demanding stricter implementation to prevent future mishaps.
