Noida/Greater Noida: The Health Department, in collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), has launched an Occupational Hazard Project to assess the impact of prolonged sitting and mental stress on employees’ health in corporate settings.

As part of the project, a comprehensive survey will be conducted on over 10,000 employees working in multinational companies (MNCs) across Noida and Greater Noida. The aim is to identify physical and psychological health issues such as eye strain, neck and back pain, anxiety, and mental fatigue.

a large number of youth working in these MNCs are increasingly reporting health issues due to sedentary work and high-pressure environments. If the survey finds excessive work-related stress, the department may recommend an additional 30-minute break for affected employees to help relieve mental strain.
