Noida: The Noida Village Residents Association (NOVRA) honoured ACP First Praveen Kumar Singh for his efforts towards community policing and strengthening communication between the police and residents of rural areas.
The felicitation programme was organised at Rohillapur village in Sector 132 on August 11. NOVRA recognised the ACP for maintaining regular communication with people in rural areas, taking an active role in addressing their concerns and encouraging better coordination between the police and the community.
NOVRA also appreciated the policing efforts under his jurisdiction, including the work carried out by Sector 126 police station in connection with drug-related cases.
NOVRA patron Ajit Singh Tomar Bajrangi said that ACP Praveen Kumar Singh remains in regular contact with residents of rural areas and takes an active interest in resolving their concerns. He said policing should not remain limited to maintaining law and order and that regular dialogue and public participation can help in addressing several local issues.
While Praveen Kumar Singh is known for strict and effective policing, he also maintains regular communication with people from rural areas. Community policing helps bring people and the police together. Sitting with residents, listening to their concerns and trying to find timely solutions can strengthen trust between the police and the public.

He added that several issues in rural areas can be addressed more effectively through dialogue, coordination and community participation rather than police action alone. According to him, giving priority to community policing is a positive step towards building stronger relationships between the police and residents.
During the programme, NOVRA also expressed its gratitude to Noida Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh. The association said that efforts to encourage police officers to connect with residents, understand their concerns and work towards solutions have helped strengthen communication between the police and society.
Dr Ranjan Tomar said that stronger communication and trust between the police and rural communities can contribute to more effective law enforcement and public safety.
The programme was attended by NOVRA Vice President Ajay Chauhan, office bearers of the association and a large number of residents from nearby villages.
