A large fire broke out in an apartment complex in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, due to an explosion of an air conditioner. The event took place at Noida sector 100’s Lotus Boulevard Society, where high-rise buildings were surrounded by thick black smoke.

A burst in one of the building’s air conditioning units caused the fire to start on Thursday morning. Five firefighters raced over to the scene. According to the authorities, no casualties or injuries from the incident have been reported as of yet.

The explosion originated from a split air conditioning unit. The housing society’s fire suppression systems went off, and the fire was extinguished as the authorities hurried to the site.

Thick clouds of smoke encircling the tall buildings in the Lotus Boulevard Society were captured in a video from the incident that quickly went popular on social media.
Witnesses claimed that residents of surrounding units congregated in the society’s common space as a precaution after fleeing their apartments as soon as they noticed smoke.
Locals and society members informed the fire service unit about the occurrence at the apartment on the building’s tenth level at 10.10 am, according to Chief Fire Officer Pradeep Kumar Choubey.
“We hurried five cars—water tenders—to the location right away. However, the fire was extinguished in ten minutes by the society’s firefighting apparatus before our cars could get there,” he stated.
“The air conditioner burst, which started the fire.” The fire was restricted to one room of the apartment and did not spread much since the firefighting systems, including as sprinklers, extinguishers, and hoses, were operating properly, according to Choubey, who also stated that no one was hurt or lost their life in the incident.
Five firemen hurried to the scene of the event as soon as they heard the first call and made every attempt to put out the fire. The building’s structure did not sustain any significant damage since the fire service managed to contain the flames.

The fire has now been extinguished and no casualties were reported. The incident took place under the jurisdiction of Sector 39 police station.
