Noida: To improve the quality of power supply in Gautam Buddha Nagar, the Electricity Corporation has planned to install 400 new transformers of 16 KVA. For this, the corporation has completed a survey and is now preparing to send a proposal to Meerut headquarters. After getting the approval of the proposal, the work of installing new transformers will start soon.
Most problems come with power supply
The Electricity Corporation has more than three and a half lakh consumers in the district. At present, many problems are coming with power supply. Especially when a transformer or line malfunctions, due to which the supply of the entire block and colony is affected. Similar problems have been seen in industrial areas as well, which hinders the supply of many industrial units. Keeping these problems in mind, the Electricity Corporation has decided to install new transformers. Along with this, there is also a plan to replace old and expired transformers.
Electricity supply will be available
This summer, the most problems were faced in 16 KVA transformers. More than 65 transformers have been damaged till 31st July. Currently, about 800 transformers of 16 KVA are installed in the district. With the installation of 400 new transformers, consumers will get a stable and uninterrupted power supply.

Chief Engineer of Electricity Corporation Harish Bansal said that due to the malfunction of 16 KVA transformers this summer, consumers had to face a lot of inconvenience. To solve this problem, a plan has been made to install 400 new transformers. The process of preparing a proposal and sending it to Meerut headquarters will start soon.
