An engineering student from Noida recently shared her story of how she went from having extensive preparation to landing a highly sought-after internship at Google. Third-year computer science major Isha Singh provided information about the test and interviews she had to go through to get picked by the tech giant for the summer internship in software engineering that will take place in 2025.

“I finally received a job offer from @Google for a 2025 internship in software engineering. In a thread on X (previously Twitter), Singh stated, “Here goes the thread for how it all happened.”
The recruitment process for Google’s summer internship started in June with an email issued by the Noida college’s training and placement unit encouraging students to complete an application. Among those who applied was Singh, who was sent a link to a virtual career seminar.
Procedures for choosing an internship at Google
The engineering student was able to pass the difficult portion, an online exam that was set for July, after that. Two rounds of interviews were conducted to make the final selection after the evaluation.
“The process involved two technical interviews the following day after a demanding online exam, each of which tested my ability to solve problems and push myself,” the woman stated.
According to Isha Singh, the initial interview lasted for fifty minutes and consisted of two questions about algorithms and data structures. She assigned a “medium to hard” difficulty rating.
There were 45 minutes of further interview, most of which consisted of technical questions.
She stated in a Medium article, “This interview focused on priority queues, with a follow-up question on the same topic.”
“Both rounds were eliminatory in nature, meaning that only those who performed well in the first round would advance to the second.”
When the college’s placement cell gave the students their final results the following day, they were taken aback.
“Seeing my name on that list was an incredible moment, marking the culmination of intense preparation and hard work,” Singh stated.
“A dream come true, this is. I never would have imagined passing my very first interview—that too with Google.
