Antriksh Forest: Memorandum submitted to Chief Engineer for multipoint connection

Noida: Residents created a ruckus against a power cut in Antriksh Forest, Sector 77, Noida. Residents demonstrated outside the maintenance office by tying black bands. Demanded multi-point connection and registration in the society.

The registration of flats has not started yet in society

There are 637 flats in Antriksh Forest Society located in Noida Sector-77. The registration of flats has not started yet in the society. The builder is maintaining the society. The builder changed the electricity billing system from postpaid to prepaid without any proper planning due to which the electricity in the flats was suddenly cut off. There was chaos in the entire society due to the sudden power cut. Children, women, the elderly and all residents working from home had to suffer a lot. Along with prepaying the electricity system, the builder also started deducting maintenance charges from the electricity meter.

Demand is for multipoint connection

Residents protested against the arbitrariness of the builder by tying black bands outside the maintenance office. Also demanded to make the electricity connection multipoint and start registry of flats immediately.

Mukesh Kumar Sharma, Resident, cites the notice issued by the Electricity Department to Perfect Propbuild Pvt. Ltd. (Antariksh Forest), says, ” A notice has already been issued to the builder that any dues related to electricity will not be recovered from the meter. Electricity supply cannot be interrupted for recovery of any dues other than electricity charges. But the builder is ignoring the instructions of the electricity department.”

Sukhpal Singh Toor, Resident says, “The builder had filed a writ in the Allahabad High Court demanding a permanent single point connection of 3500 KW, which was cancelled by the High Court. Electricity Corporation told the court that the Electricity Supply Code 2005 has been amended in August 2018 to provide only multipoint connections in multi-storey buildings. Whereas on March 24, in response to the complaint on the Jansunwai portal regarding the demand for multipoint connection in the society, it was told that there is no infrastructure in the society for single point to multipoint connection. The residents of the society are trapped in a maze of builders, electricity companies and rules.

Society residents Rajveer Singh and Sukhpal Singh Toor have submitted a memorandum to the Chief Engineer of Electricity Corporation Noida demanding multipoint connection in the society.
