Noida: The Noida High Rise Federation (NHRF) has taken a significant step towards addressing the ongoing lift registration issues in Noida. A 3-member committee, comprising Dinesh Singh, President of Homes 121 and Convener NHRF Gaurav Asati Ex-President Amrapali Zodiac & Board member NHRF and Ashok Bindlesh Secretary RG Residency & Convener NHRF has been formed to oversee lift registration and ensure compliance with the new UP Lift and Escalator Rules 2024.
These rules aim to reduce elevator accidents, which have become a growing concern in high-rise buildings, particularly in Noida.¹ The committee’s formation is a response to the alarming fact that nearly 80,000 lifts in 350 buildings in Noida are yet to be registered.²

- Unauthorized Vendors and Encroachment: Over 200 vendors at the vending zone, with only 10-15 authorized, and unauthorized encroachment in Sector 100 X.
- Inaction from Noida Authority: No action was taken by the Civil and Horticulture departments despite inspections by senior officials.
Nikhil Singhal, President of NHRF, emphasized the organization’s commitment to addressing these civic issues and ensuring a better quality of life for Noida residents. The NHRF has also demanded a meeting with the CEO of Noida Authority to discuss the current issues.
