Greater Noida: Panic gripped Greater Noida’s Beta-1 Sector on July 16, Thursday morning after a group of monkeys attacked a resident identified as Arjun, leaving him injured. Residents rushed to his aid and managed to rescue him after considerable effort.
According to eyewitnesses, the increasing presence of monkeys in the sector has become a serious concern for residents. Children, senior citizens and pedestrians are particularly vulnerable, especially during the morning and evening hours.
Harinder Bhati, General Secretary of the Residents’ Welfare Association (RWA), said that the entire sector has been troubled by the growing monkey menace for quite some time. He urged the Greater Noida Authority to take immediate action by safely capturing the monkeys and relocating them to a nearby forest or other suitable natural habitat.
Residents have appealed to the authorities for prompt intervention, stating that effective measures are needed to prevent further attacks and ensure the safety of people living in the area.
