Maruti Suzuki Swift in CNG to Launch Soon, Here’s All You Need To Know

According to the rumor, the newly released Swift will be transformed into a CNG avatar that has the same functionality, appearance, visuals, and design elements.

Following the release of the fourth-generation Swift to every Indian consumer, Maruti Suzuki is now preparing to launch the CNG-powered hatchback. According to reports, the car is expected to hit the market in the upcoming months, with the debut occurring soon.

According to the source, the recently released Swift will take on the appearance of a CNG avatar, complete with identical features, style, visuals, and design components.

Expected Engine, Power and Mileage

It is anticipated that the new 1.2-liter, three-cylinder Z12E naturally aspirated petrol engine powering the forthcoming Swift CNG would be used. Customers will be able to take advantage of a respectable 82 horsepower and 112 Nm of peak torque. Either a 5-speed manual gearbox or an optional 5-speed automatic transmission will come standard with the unit.

Rumors suggest that the CNG variant could have a strong mileage of more than 35 km/kg. Please take note that this is simply conjecture; the brand is waiting on official confirmation.

Current Lineup and Expected Price of CNG

As of right now, the base pricing of the Swift facelift petrol versions is Rs 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top variant is Rs 9.64 lakh (ex-showroom). It is anticipated that the upcoming CNG variant will cost between Rs 80,000 and Rs 90,000 more when it is released into the market.

Once launched, the Swift CNG will compete against the tech-loaded Tata Tiago CNG and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios CNG.
