Chairman of LIC Mohanty assumed the role of MD & CEO.
According to an exchange filing on Monday, Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has re-designated its chairman, Siddhartha Mohanty, as managing director (MD) and managing director (CEO), from June 30, 2024. Mohanty was named LIC’s chairperson in April 2023 and served in that capacity until June 29, 2024. He was thereafter supposed to assume the position of MD & CEO of the company until June 7, 2025.
With Chowdhury and Kar as the new RBI EDs,
Charulatha S. Kar and Arnab Kumar Chowdhury are now in charge of the RBI’s executive director (ED). Chowdhury will oversee the International Department, Foreign Exchange, Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation, and Foreign Exchange as an ED. The Department of Communication, Human Resource, and Right to Information (First Appellate Authority) would be under Kar’s management, the central bank announced on Monday.
