Greater Noida: Tensions flared in Sector Delta-1 on Sunday as residents staged a massive protest against Kaveri Builder, following the demolition of a section of the sector’s security wall. The incident has sparked widespread anger among locals, who see this act as a direct assault on their safety and rights.
The Root of the Conflict: Builder Wants a Shortcut Through the Sector
The controversy revolves around Kaveri Builders’ newly constructed commercial complex adjacent to Sector Delta-1. Allegedly, in an attempt to provide direct access to his business complex from within the residential sector and boost foot traffic, the builder illegally demolished a portion of the protective wall, originally constructed by the Greater Noida Authority for the residents’ security.
Residents argue this is not just a violation of rules, but a breach of their safety, privacy, and trust
“Break the Wall, But Not Our Silence”: Matter Escalated to CM Yogi Adityanath
The residents have escalated the issue by filing formal complaints with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the CEO of Greater Noida Authority, and the District Magistrate. They have demanded immediate action and the reconstruction of the wall, failing which they have threatened a full-scale agitation.
This wall is not just bricks and cement—it marks the boundary of our safety and rights

Public Outrage Rally: A Show of Unprecedented Unity
Men, women, senior citizens, and youth joined hands and marched in unity through the streets of Sector Delta-1, holding posters and chanting slogans like:
- No wall, no security!
- Break our wall, hear our roar!
- Authority must act, builder’s pressure won’t be accepted!
The rally was led by RWA President Jitendra Bhati and General Secretary Rishipal, along with other prominent community leaders. The message was loud and clear — until the wall is rebuilt, the protests will continue.
Residents Issue One-Week Ultimatum to Authority
In a strongly worded statement, the residents have given the Greater Noida Authority a one-week deadline to reconstruct the broken wall. If their demand is not met, they plan to launch an indefinite sit-in protest outside the Authority’s headquarters.
The builder will not be allowed any internal access to our sector—this is non-negotiable,” said a youth activist during the rally.

Security and Autonomy at Stake
Residents expressed concerns that if a commercial project is given entry through the sector, it would lead to traffic chaos, jeopardize the security of children and women, and severely disrupt the peaceful environment.
Why did we invest in a gated sector if our security is to be compromised for a builder’s commercial interest?
