On Saturday, May 3, 2025, a big incident happened in Sector 36, Greater Noida city. All of a sudden there was a loud explosion due to the bursting of the toilet seat in a house. The student, present inside the toilet at the time of the incident was badly injured and he screamed. As soon as this happened, he was admitted to the hospital for treatment. The skin of the student’s face and hands has peeled off due to the flames. It is suspected that the explosion was caused by methane gas.

According to the information received, Sunil Pradhan lives with his family in house number C-364, Sector-36, Greater Noida. He said that his 20-year-old son Ashu Nagar went to the toilet on Saturday afternoon. Ashu studies in school. As soon as he pressed the flush button of the western toilet seat after defecation, the seat burst and flames started rising. Ashu’s face, hands, legs and other parts were badly burnt. He was immediately admitted to hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. According to the doctors, it will take a long time for the injured student to recover. The skin of the student’s face and hands has peeled off due to the flames.

the sewer system of Greater Noida is completely jammed. Earlier, vent pipes were installed so that the methane gas coming out of the sewer could go into the atmosphere. Now such pipes are not being installed, due to which the gas keeps spreading inside. The sewer line near the P-3 roundabout has been broken for about one and a half years, complaints have been made to the Greater Noida Authority officials several times to get it repaired, but till now this line has not been repaired.
