Tension at Himalaya Pride Society as AOA begins handover process, alleges builder interference and police support during peaceful transition.

Greater Noida West : A fresh dispute has surfaced at Himalaya Pride Society in Greater Noida West during the ongoing handover process, with the Apartment Owners Association (AOA) alleging interference by the builder despite official directives from the authority.

According to the AOA, the handover of housekeeping and security services was initiated on April 3 in compliance with a formal directive issued by the Greater Noida Authority. Prior intimation was also given to senior administrative officials, including the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) and Additional DCP, before commencing the process.

Handover initiated peacefully

Residents’ representatives stated that the transition process began in a completely peaceful and organised manner. The AOA had taken steps to ensure a smooth takeover of essential services such as housekeeping and security, in line with the authority’s instructions.

Allegations of forced entry by the builder

However, the situation reportedly escalated when the builder, accompanied by police personnel, allegedly attempted to forcefully reintroduce its previously deployed housekeeping and security staff into the society premises. The AOA has termed this move as an unwarranted intervention, claiming it disrupted an otherwise orderly process.

Police role under question

In a concerning development, residents have alleged that police officials present at the site did not heed the concerns raised by the AOA leadership. Instead, they reportedly supported the builder’s actions and facilitated the entry of their personnel into the society. Residents have expressed strong dissatisfaction over what they describe as a one-sided approach by the authorities on the ground.

‘Violation of Authority orders’Residents

The AOA has asserted that the builder’s actions are in direct violation of the Greater Noida Authority’s instructions regarding the handover. They further warned that such incidents could disturb the peace and administrative order within the society.

Demand for inquiry and action

The residents have urged higher authorities to take cognizance of the matter and initiate a fair investigation. They have called for strict action to prevent the recurrence of such incidents and to ensure that the handover process is completed in a lawful and peaceful manner. The situation remains tense, with residents closely monitoring further developments and expecting intervention from the concerned authorities.
