Gas India Expo 2024 knocked in Greater Noida, World witnessed the Colourful mesmerising opening ceremony

Greater Noida: Demand for energy in a fast-growing economy like India is galloping. The country is already the third-largest consumer of energy in the world. India retained its spot as the third-largest consumer of oil in the world. The gas sector is among the eight core industries in India and plays a critical role in the growth of our economy.

Gas Expo initiated today with the presence of big business tycoons

To enhance the segment, Gas India 2024 Expo an International Exhibition and Conference is being inaugurated today at India Expo Mart & Centre, Greater Noida, NCR, U.P (India). The Exhibition will be running from 4th to 6th July in India Expo Mart for the public. It is an International Exhibition platform to display the latest innovative technologies, products & services from across the global gas and allied industry and presents an opportunity for the gas community to come jointly, form collaborations & networking and meet key buyers and sellers, share the knowledge and define the future of the natural gas industry at one place.

The event is set to mark 7000 visitors and 150 exhibitors

The Exhibition is inaugurated by Sandeep Jain, Executive Director, Gas, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd and Swadesh Kumar, Director, Indian Exhibition Services. Around 7000+ visitors including top specialists, foreign diplomats, high-calibre environment & Allied Industry Professionals, Entrepreneurs, Senior Purchase Professionals etc visited the Show. The event was covered in approximately 16000 sq. mt. of Display space with 150+ Exhibitors from the National and international sectors.

‘India’s demand for gas is expected to almost double by 2030 to reach 115 BCM’

According To Swadesh Kumar, Director, Indian Exhibition Services, “India’s demand for gas is expected to almost double by 2030 to reach 115 BCM. By 2050, the demand for gas in the country is expected to rise to 170 BCM. The consumption of natural gas in India is forecasted to escalate at a CAGR of 12.2 per cent to attain a figure of 550 MCMPD by 2030 from 174 MCMPD in 2021.

‘India’s industrial gas market is estimated to expand rapidly in the following years till 2026’

He continues, “According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), in India the consumption of natural gas is expected to enhance by 25 BCM, registering an average annual growth of 9 per cent until 2024. India’s industrial gas market is estimated to expand rapidly in the following years till 2026. Besides Indian government has introduced several policies to cater to the increasing demand for oil and gas in India. It has allowed 100 per cent foreign direct investment (FDI) in several areas of the sector, including natural gas, petroleum products and refineries, among others.

‘A platform to showcase the buyers to source new products, solutions and technologies’

He added, “This Edition of the Gas India Expo 2024 is expected to facilitate sellers to showcase and buyers to source new products, solutions and technologies, equipment’s, strengthen and opportunity to build relationships with the entire energy value chain, including Natural and Industrial Gas, LNG, PNG, hydrogen, low-carbon solutions and allied industries.”
