Greater Noida West: Greater Noida Authority has issued a notice to Ajnara Homes Society located in Sector-16B against illegal construction. The authority team visited Ajnara Homes on May 29, 2024, and found many irregularities during the inspection.
Efforts of Nefowa proved worthy
This happened because Nefowa keeps raising the voice for homebuyers’ interest from time to time. Abhishek Kumar, President of NeFOWA Foundation, met the CEO and complained about the builder.
Findings during inspection
The planning department of the authority has written in the notice sent that based on the complaint received, a site inspection was conducted by the mobile squad of the authority on 29 May 2024. During the inspection, it was found that the front setback of the market built on the site is being used as additional commercial by unauthorizedly placing kiosks.
Additional gates illegally constructed
Two boundary walls have been constructed on the left and right sides of Icon School which is not according to the approved map. More gates have been built than the approved map unauthorizedly. Water has been found accumulated in the basement. The school park has been built by eliminating the drive at the site.
The authority asked to remove illegal kiosks in 15 days
The authority has asked the builder to remove the illegal kiosk and inform within 15 days. The authority said that if the builder does not present his side, it will be assumed that the builder has nothing to say in this regard. It will also be assumed that the rules of the authority have been violated by the builder.
Dinkar Pandey, Resident of Ajnara Homes and Senior and Active member of Nefowa says, “Last month we met the CEO of Greater Noida Authority along with Nefowa president Abhishek Kumar and complained about the builder installing illegal kiosks. First of all, the market gate itself is unlawful. The market gate should have been inside the society but the builder has opened the market gate on the road.”
He continues, “The tables and chairs installed for sitting in the market area have also been removed to install illegal kiosks. Due to many illegal kiosks, there is excessive crowd in the market and accidents like fire can happen anytime. Due to the kiosks, there is no space left to move around in the market. Every night, anti-social elements drink alcohol in the open, make lewd remarks at the women and girls passing by and also misbehave.”
He further says, “Wires are lying on the ground to supply electricity to the kiosk. If they are cut from anywhere, a big incident can happen. Those who prepare food in the kiosk wash their utensils on the service road itself. Dirty water gets collected in the basement which stench, mosquitoes and diseases.”
Dinkar Pandey informs that the authority has given 15 days to remove illegal kiosks and illegal constructions. If the kiosk and illegal construction are not removed after 15 days, a complaint will be lodged again.
