Greater Noida West : Preparations for the Ramleela Mahotsav 2026 in Greater Noida West are underway, with organisers holding a meeting of lifetime members on Sunday to discuss the event schedule, venue arrangements and outreach across housing societies.
According to the organisers, lifetime members from more than 70 housing societies in Greater Noida West attended the meeting. Representatives from Ecotech-12 and the industrial sector also attended.
The Ramleela is being organised by Prabhu Shri Ramleela Seva Trust at the Ramleela ground in the Ecotech-12 commercial belt. The event is scheduled from October 10 to October 24, 2026, with programmes beginning at 6 pm.
Temple model displayed at members’ meeting
A model of the temple proposed at the Ramleela ground was displayed during the meeting. Organisers said construction of the temporary temple structure is scheduled to begin on September 26. Preparations at the venue include arrangements for the stage, temple structure and seating for visitors. The organising committee said volunteers are currently working on different aspects of the venue preparation.
Ayodhya visit planned for October 1
The organisers said hundreds of devotees from Greater Noida West are expected to travel to Ayodhya on October 1 in buses and private vehicles. According to the committee, the group will participate in rituals in Ayodhya before bringing a Shri Ram Lalla idol to Greater Noida West. The idol is planned to be carried in a specially prepared vehicle described by the organisers as a ‘Hanuman Gadi’. The return journey from Ayodhya to Greater Noida West is expected to take around seven to eight days, according to the organisers. After reaching Greater Noida West, the idol is planned to be taken to the Ramleela ground and installed at the proposed temple structure following religious rituals.
Invitation campaign planned across societies
Invitation cards were distributed to lifetime members during the meeting. The organising committee said members would take the invitations to their respective housing societies and residential areas. The committee said the outreach initiative is intended to inform families across Greater Noida West about the Ramleela programme and encourage community participation.
Organisers highlight cultural and religious focus
Prabhu Shri Ramleela Trust president Deepak Yadav said volunteers are involved in venue preparations, public outreach and coordination for the proposed Ayodhya visit. The organisers said the Ramleela is intended to present the story of Lord Ram and themes associated with his life and values to audiences, including children and young people. The event will be held from October 10 to October 24 at the Ramleela ground in the Ecotech-12 commercial belt. The programme is expected to include Ramleela performances and other cultural presentations.
