Greater Noida: Five lakh people of Greater Noida will get big relief. The problem of electricity for the people will be fixed soon. To enhance the power supply in Greater Noida city, new substations will be constructed in Iteda, Badalpur, and Astauli. Preparations for this have been started, and tenders will also be issued soon.

Demand for electricity is increasing with increasing infrastructure

The population in Greater Noida and Greater Noida West is increasing rapidly. New industries are also being set up rapidly with the possession of builder society. Malls and shopping complexes are also being built to promote business activities. In such a situation, the demand for electricity has also increased a lot here.

33 kV capacity substations are planned to be constructed

The Greater Noida Authority is also making efforts at its level to ensure that there is no problem with uninterrupted power supply in the city. Under the scheme, there is a plan to build 33kV capacity sub-stations in Iteda and Badalpur of Greater Noida West along with Astauli village of Dankaur area. With the construction of the sub-station in Iteda, the industrial units being built here along with the surrounding villages will get uninterrupted power supply from the sub-centre of Sector Techzone-4 and Badalpur.

Plan to dispose garbage scientifically

A modern garbage disposal centre is being constructed near Astauli village in the Dankaur area. In this, the garbage of Greater Noida and Noida will be disposed of scientifically. The land has been allotted to many companies including NTPC and Reliance for setting up the plant. A sub-centre will be constructed here for uninterrupted power supply. This will also benefit the people of the village.

In-principle and administrative approval has been received for the construction of all three power substations. Preparations are being made to issue the tender. The work will be started in the next few months after selecting the agency. Greater Noida Authority will spend about Rs 50 crore on the construction of these electrical substations.

LED lights will also be installed on Badalpur helipad

The work of installing LED lights will be done on the helipad built-in Badalpur, the ancestral village of BSP chief and former UP CM Mayawati. The tender will be issued soon for this. More than 1 lakh lights installed

In Bodaki village of the Greater Noida Development Authority area, work of installing street and high mast will be done in Baratghar, Primary, Upper Primary School, Community Center, Playground, Crematorium and Cemetery. Work is going on to convert normal street lights into LED in the authority area. More than one lakh LED lights have been installed so far.
