Ghaziabad: Man sends photos of murdered wife to relatives before hanging self

On Friday afternoon, in a neighborhood under the control of the Ankur Vihar police station area, a 30-year-old man is accused of killing his 26-year-old wife and then hanging himself in their home. According to the police, the guy also allegedly texted five of his relatives a picture of him holding his deceased wife before taking his own life, and it was these relatives that notified the authorities.

The dead man had only arrived on Wednesday after spending two weeks at his home in Etah.

According to senior police, the father opposed his wife’s employment in Noida and worked at a plant in Loni.

The pair, who were natives of the Etah district, wed in 2016, according to the police. The murder-suicide occurred when their six-year-old daughter was in Etah with her grandfather.

According to police, the guy most likely killed his wife on Friday at 11 a.m. and emailed the images to his family at 12:30 p.m.

“These images were sent with the notation, ‘both deceased,’ to five relatives, one of whom was his sister. At 1:30 p.m., his sister noticed the photos and panicked, alerting her younger brother. When he arrived in a hurry, he discovered that the house’s main door was locked from the inside. After scaling the terrace and entering, he realized his brother and wife had passed away. After that, at about 2:00 PM, he informed the police, according to Bhaskar Verma, Ankur Vihar’s assistant commissioner of police.

According to deputy commissioner of police (rural) Vivek Chandra Yadav, the guy most likely used a dupatta to strangle his wife before hanging himself with the same cloth.

A few fragments of the fabric were discovered around the woman’s neck. The man’s phone also had the photos he had given to his family. Yadav stated that there had been some marital strife for the previous few months, which is likely what led to the breakdown.

According to the police, the deceased guy spent a week away from his home in Etah and just returned on Wednesday.

“The man’s wife continued to work in Noida while he was away. The dead did not enjoy his wife’s job. She was adamant about going to work, though. This most likely sparked a fight, and the man killed her on Friday, according to ACP Verma.

The police said that the bodies were sent for an autopsy and the reports are awaited.
