Greater Noida: The Office of the District Election Officer, Gautam Buddh Nagar, has invited representatives of Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs), Apartment Owners Associations (AOAs) and Registered Developers’ Associations to participate in a consultation on the rationalisation of polling stations across the district.
According to an official communication issued on July 18, 2026, the exercise is being undertaken in compliance with directions issued by the Chief Electoral Officer, Uttar Pradesh, through a letter dated June 23, 2026. The initiative aims to review and rationalise existing polling stations to improve accessibility and administrative efficiency.

Consultation Scheduled on July 22

The meeting is scheduled for July 22, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Collectorate Auditorium, Gautam Buddh Nagar. It will be chaired by the District Magistrate-cum-District Election Officer.

The administration has requested representatives of RWAs, AOAs and developers’ associations to attend the meeting with their suggestions and objections regarding the location of polling stations, particularly in high-rise residential societies and urban sectors.

Stakeholder Feedback Before Finalisation

The district administration stated that consultations have already been held with Members of Parliament, Members of the Legislative Assembly and representatives of recognised political parties on June 30 and July 16 as part of the rationalisation process.

Before finalising the revised list of polling stations, the administration is now seeking feedback from resident bodies to ensure that polling booths are conveniently located and easily accessible for voters living in apartment complexes and rapidly growing residential sectors.

Focus on Urban Residential Communities

With Gautam Buddh Nagar witnessing significant urban expansion and a growing population in high-rise housing societies, the consultation is expected to help identify suitable polling station locations that minimise travel distance and improve voter convenience.

The District Election Office has urged all invited organisations to participate in the meeting and submit constructive suggestions to support the preparation of a voter-friendly and efficient polling station plan.
