Greater Noida West: Gaur Saundaryam residents on Sunday, January 5, 2024, staged a peaceful protest against the builder’s negligence. The residents expressed their displeasure over the pending registrations of their flats. Around 240 homebuyers, who have completed their entire payment process, are still waiting for the registration of their property.
Due to Section 144 being imposed, the residents cancelled their earlier plan to stage a protest with banners and posters on the road and instead gathered near the society’s gate to highlight their problem. The residents have already submitted a petition to the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) to take action on the matter.
“We had a lot of hopes after the implementation of Amitabh Kant Committee recommendations, but despite their implementation, our problems remain the same. This is very unfortunate”

‘I am fighting for the ownership rights of my flat’ – Ritesh
“I got possession of my house in 2021, but my flat has not been registered till now. I have paid the stamp duty and the full amount to the builder, yet I have to run from pillar to post to get the registration done. Without registration, I am fighting for the ownership rights of my flat. Moreover, the authority is levying a penalty of ₹3,000 per month on unregistered flats.”
Ritesh, Resident
Residents say that the delay in registrations is due to pending payment issues between the builder and the authority. They are appealing to the Hon’ble Chief Minister to intervene in the matter and provide them relief. The homebuyers stressed that despite fulfilling all their financial responsibilities, they are being unnecessarily harassed, causing them severe financial and mental stress.
Residents are hoping that their problems will be resolved at the earliest and they will be provided with the rightful ownership of their property.
