Greater Noida West: Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at Gaur Saundaryam, GNIDA, concluded on September 20 with a series of religious ceremonies, including a havan, aarti, shobha yatra and Ganpati visarjan. Residents and their families participated in the festivities at the society’s GS Mandir and came together to bid farewell to Lord Ganesha.
Festivities began with Ganpati Sthapana
The celebrations began on September 14 with Ganpati Sthapana at 9:15 am, followed by the evening Sandhya Aarti at 9 pm.
From September 15 to 19, residents participated in daily morning and evening aartis. The morning aarti was held at 8:30 am, while the evening aarti took place at 9 pm throughout the five-day celebrations.
The festivities provided residents with an opportunity to come together and participate in prayers and community celebrations.
Havan and shobha yatra mark the conclusion
On September 20, the concluding day of the celebrations, residents gathered at 9 am for the havan and aarti. The rituals were followed by a shobha yatra and Ganpati visarjan.
Devotees participated in the procession as Lord Ganesha was given a ceremonial farewell. The celebrations concluded with prayers seeking Bappa’s blessings for the community.
Residents invited to contribute to celebrations
The organisers had also made arrangements for residents who wished to contribute flowers and garlands for the festivities. Residents interested in distributing prasad were asked to coordinate with volunteers in advance, providing details of the prasad items and quantities so that slots could be allocated.
The organisers stated that the event was conducted without any contribution from residents.
Community celebration brings residents together
The Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at Gaur Saundaryam brought residents together for several days of prayer, devotion and community participation. The concluding visarjan marked the end of the festivities, with residents bidding an emotional farewell to Lord Ganesha.
