Greater Noida West: Residents of Galaxy Vega Society of Greater Noida West staged a strong protest against Galaxy Vega Apartment Owners Association (GVAOA). A large number of residents participated in this protest and expressed their displeasure against the current executive of the association.
This protest was mainly against not holding elections despite the expiry of the term of the current executive of GVAOA and pressuring the residents in the name of maintenance recovery. The term of the current executive of GVAOA ended on January 07, 2025, despite this, the election process has not been started yet.
Apart from this, the current President is pressurizing the residents for the recovery of maintenance charges pending for 7 years. It is worth noting that when the project was nearing its completion, the current President had accused the builder of breach of promise and prompted the residents to stop maintenance payments. Due to this decision, an amount of more than ₹5 crore was withheld instead of the incomplete works of the builder. Now the same president, ignoring the incomplete works, is pressurizing the residents in connivance with the builder to give this amount to them.
In the first year, a list of pending works was prepared with the builder, which is incomplete till date. Despite this, the current executive and the builder are demanding maintenance charges from the residents, which is completely unfair.
Hemchand Tiwari, Former President, GVAOA
Residents held a meeting regarding this issue, in which it was unanimously decided that no resident would pay maintenance until the incomplete works were completed. Along with this, the Deputy Registrar’s Office has been requested to intervene in this regard and start the election process as soon as possible and ensure the formation of the new executive of the society.
