FRS System: Face Recognition System (FRS) is going to be installed everywhere in Noida

Noida: To crack down on criminals and maintain security in the capital Delhi, the police are resorting to high-tech technology. Now a network of state-of-the-art cameras equipped with a Face Recognition System (FRS) will be laid in various areas of the city. With the help of these cameras, it will be easy to identify criminals, so that they will be caught as soon as they leave the house.

Cameras will be upgraded soon

To implement this scheme, Delhi Police has asked each station in charge for a list of places where FRS cameras can be installed. This list has been sent to the Police Headquarters and soon these cameras will be equipped with advanced software. Currently, FRS technology is being used in CCTV cameras installed in many major markets and roads, especially it is used for security during Republic Day, Independence Day and other big events.

In which cameras will FRS be installed?

CCTV cameras are installed at a height of 15-20 feet at many places in Delhi, but FRS technology can work effectively only in cameras installed at a height of 8 to 10 feet. For this reason, all the police stations have been instructed to identify such cameras in which this software can be installed. Additional Commissioner of Safe City Project Manoj C has issued instructions in this regard to all the District Deputy Commissioners of Police.

How does FRS work?

FRS is an advanced software, which is installed in high-quality CCTV cameras. This software stores the data of criminals against whom FIR is registered. When a criminal comes in front of the camera, it immediately sends an alert to the control room. This helps the police to take swift action.

FRS are already installed at many places in Delhi and with their help, great success has been achieved in catching the criminals. This technology has improved security, especially in crowded areas. In the coming days, it will be installed in more CCTV cameras, which will speed up the arrest of criminals.
