Five-Day Free Obesity Awareness and Yoga Camp Begins in Noida Sector 51
The initiative has been welcomed by residents as a positive step towards promoting community health and awareness through yoga and natural wellness practices.
Residents participate in the inaugural session of the five-day free obesity prevention yoga camp organised in Sector 51, Noida under the guidance of Bharatiya Yog Sansthan with support from the RWA.
Noida: A special five-day free obesity prevention and wellness camp began on Wednesday morning, May 27, 2026, at C Block Park, opposite Cloudnine Hospital in Sector 51, Noida, under the aegis of Bharatiya Yog Sansthan with the support of the RWA Sector 51.
The camp commenced at 6 am on May 27 with participation from residents and yoga enthusiasts. The inaugural session started with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony and aarti, creating a spiritual and positive atmosphere for the participants.
During the event, RWA Sector 51 General Secretary Sanjeev Kumar honoured the organisers, including Hira Singh Bisht, Hemlata Nakra and the zonal minister ofBharatiya Yog Sansthan by presenting shawls in recognition of their contribution towards social welfare and community health initiatives.
A five-day free obesity awareness and yoga camp has begun in Sector 51, Noida under the guidance of Bharatiya Yog Sansthan with support from the RWA. The initiative aims to spread awareness about healthy living, yoga and natural ways to control obesity and lifestyle diseases.
On the occasion, Hira Singh Bisht from Bharatiya Yog Sansthan also welcomed and honoured chief guests Sanjeev Kumar, General Secretary of Sector 51, Noida and Arvind Sharma with floral garlands.
Focus on obesity-related health concerns
The organisers highlighted the growing concern of obesity in the country and explained how it is becoming a major cause of several serious diseases, including stomach ailments, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, breathing issues, ulcers, joint and leg problems, back pain and menstrual disorders among women.
Obesity can be controlled to a large extent through yoga, disciplined dietary habits and improvements in daily lifestyle and routine.

Residents encouraged to participate
Residents have been encouraged to join the five-day camp and adopt healthier living practices. Organisers said the camp aims to help people manage obesity naturally without medication while improving their overall physical and mental well-being.
