NHAI has introduced new guidelines for planning and designing access-controlled high-speed national highways, aiming to standardise technical and safety provisions, improve traffic movement and strengthen road safety across upcoming four- and six-lane projects.

NHAI and Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Limited have signed an MoU to simplify and fast-track approvals for national highway, canal and pipeline crossings in Gujarat, with provisions for mutual fee waivers, early project information sharing and standardised engineering practices.

A representation to the Noida Development Authority has highlighted the deteriorating condition of roads across the city, with concerns over potholes, damaged surfaces, road safety and the need for regular maintenance and timely repairs.
