Borzo will work with gig delivery partners who will own their vehicles, giving them flexibility and control over their schedules
Borzo, previously known as WeFast, has unveiled its new fleet of electric three-wheelers to promote eco-friendly logistics solutions.
This move aims to provide sustainable delivery services for businesses and local customers in urban areas, particularly for larger, lightweight deliveries.
Initially, Borzo will introduce these electric 3-wheelers in Mumbai, with plans to expand to Delhi. The vehicles will mainly handle lightweight deliveries, carrying loads up to 500 kilograms.
In the future, Borzo intends to extend its electric fleet to include 4-wheelers like mini trucks and tempos, with a capacity of 750 kilograms. This expansion is part of the company’s goal to electrify 30 percent of its 3-wheeler fleet as part of its sustainability drive.
To support this, Borzo will collaborate with Gig Delivery partners who will own and operate their vehicles. This model gives partners the flexibility to set their own schedules while ensuring high operational efficiency.
Borzo will also work with reliable service providers for maintaining its electric vehicles (EVs), enhancing the sustainability of its logistics network.
This new initiative will help reduce emissions and support the company’s commitment to eco-friendly, last-mile delivery. The electric vehicles will allow Borzo to meet the growing demand for urban deliveries while also cutting long-term costs related to fuel and maintenance.
Borzo’s CEO, Alina Kisina, commented on the launch: “The first phase of electric 3-wheelers in Mumbai marks the beginning of a broader vision to expand our fleet with electric vehicles, including 3W and 4W options such as mini trucks and tempo delivery vehicles, to meet the growing demand for cleaner, quieter, and more efficient delivery methods.”
Borzo plans to onboard 1,500 delivery partners for this new service and will promote it with special offers to keep prices competitive for B2B clients. With a current fleet of over 60,000 delivery partners in India, Borzo is well-positioned to lead the way in sustainable urban delivery solutions.
