Noida: The Noida District Administration has taken strict action against 12 private schools refusing to give admission under the Right to Free Child Education Act (RTE). The DM has formed a committee ordering action to cancel the recognition against such schools. If this committee reports against these schools, then their recognition may be cancelled.
DM has given instructions to form a committee to cancel the recognition
Basic Education Officer Rahul Panwar had informed District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma about 12 schools not taking admission under RTE. In this case, the DM has given instructions to form a committee to cancel the recognition. Along with this, instructions have also been given to send the report of the committee to the government. District Divyang Officer Ashish Kumar and Principal Chhabi Singh of Kumari Mayawati Inter College have been included in the committee constituted under the chairmanship of SDM Ved Prakash Pandey. The committee has sent a notice to the schools.
These schools got notice
The schools to which notices have been sent include Bal Bharti Public School, Delhi Public School, The Millennium School, Ramagya School, Raghav Global School, Shiv Nadar School, Fortune World School, Army Public School of Noida and Darbari Lal Foundation World School, Oxford Green Public School and Sanskar Roza Jalalpur of Greater Noida.
If you do not go to school for 30 days, then you will be out of school
On the other hand, in the council schools of Noida, if a student does not come to school for more than 30 days students who get less than 35 per cent marks in any examination will be put in the category of out of school. In this regard, instructions have been issued to the District Basic Officers by the Director General of the Basic Education Department.
It has also been said in the instructions that if a child between six and 14 years of age is not enrolled, then he will be considered out of school. If he remains absent for 30 consecutive days in a year of enrollment, then he should be considered out of school. If the marks obtained in the annual assessment are less than 35%, then extra classes should be conducted to improve the educational level of such children.
Now there will be a meeting every month
BSA Rahul Panwar says, “There will be a meeting of the headmaster and teachers every month to monitor the attendance of children in the school. There will also be monitoring of those children who are continuously absent. After this, the teachers will counsel the child’s parents and make the parents aware and motivate them to send the child to school daily.”
ANSPA General Secretary K Arunachalam called it a good initiative of the Education Department. He says that due to the cunningness of schools, many promising children are deprived of education. Strict action should be taken against such schools.
