A six-year-old student of Little Garden School in Visakhapatnam died after reportedly collapsing in his classroom on Thursday. The child’s family has alleged that he was reprimanded and slapped by a teacher over incomplete homework shortly before he collapsed. Police have registered a case and are examining CCTV footage, while the exact cause of death is expected to be established through the postmortem examination.

A major explosion at a CNG station in Delhi’s Tikri Kalan on Wednesday afternoon left one person dead and five others seriously injured.
