Following repeated complaints from residents, Health Department Officer Rajesh Singh intervenes as cleaning work begins on October 23

Greater Noida: Acting on repeated complaints from residents, the Greater Noida Authority initiated a cleaning drive outside Adarsh Vihar Society in Sector Chi-4 on the morning of October 23, 2026. The area outside the society’s main gate had been facing sanitation issues, with garbage accumulating in the adjoining park, along the main road and on footpaths. Residents had continuously raised the matter with the concerned authorities, highlighting the poor condition of the area and the health risks posed by the accumulated waste.

Taking cognisance of the residents’ concerns, Rajesh Singh, Health Department Officer at the Greater Noida Authority, took prompt action and directed attention towards the sanitation issue. Following the intervention, authority officials reached the site and started the cleaning work. The initiative has brought relief to residents who had been seeking action to restore cleanliness in the area. The accumulated polythene bags, disposable items and other waste had raised concerns over foul smells, unhygienic surroundings and the potential spread of infectious diseases.

Residents have welcomed the prompt response from Rajesh Singh and the Greater Noida Authority officials. They hope that the cleaning drive will be followed by regular sanitation and proper maintenance of the park, roads and adjoining footpaths. Residents have also stressed that sustained monitoring and timely garbage collection are necessary to prevent the area from returning to its earlier condition. The action has highlighted the importance of consistent communication between residents and civic authorities in resolving local civic issues.
