
Thousands of devotees attend the procession and offer prayers as the Ram Lila Mahotsav is set to begin on October 10
Greater Noida West : Greater Noida West witnessed a grand religious celebration on Friday as the sacred idol of Lord Shri Ram, brought from Ayodhya Dham, was welcomed with a chariot procession. Thousands of devotees gathered along the route to catch a glimpse of the deity, chant “Jai Shri Ram” and shower flowers in a display of faith and devotion. The procession began at City Centre Mall in Greater Noida West and passed through key locations, including H&S Mall and the area near Blue Sapphire Mall. Devotees lined the roads to welcome the deity with flower showers and religious chants. Local residents and families also stopped along the route to seek blessings.
Idol installed at Ram Lila Ground in Ecotech-12
Following the procession, the sacred idol reached the Ram Lila Ground in Ecotech-12, where it was installed with traditional rituals. Vedic chants, prayers and religious ceremonies marked the occasion as devotees gathered to witness the installation. The venue resonated with devotional chants as people from various housing societies across Greater Noida West attended the event. Women, children, young people and elderly residents participated in the celebrations, making it a community-wide religious gathering.

Organisers thank devotees and volunteers
The event was organised by the Prabhu Shri Ram Leela Seva Trust, Greater Noida West. The trust thanked devotees, life members, housing society representatives, volunteers, supporters and local residents for contributing to the event.
Trust president Deepak Yadav said the programme was made possible through collective participation, a spirit of service and the devotees’ faith in Lord Shri Ram.

The organisers described the procession as a celebration of devotion, cultural traditions and community participation in Greater Noida West.
Ram Lila Mahotsav from October 10 to 24
The trust has invited residents to attend the upcoming Ram Lila Mahotsav, scheduled to be held at the Ram Lila Ground in Ecotech-12 from October 10 to October 24, 2026.
The organisers said the festival would offer families an opportunity to learn about Lord Shri Ram’s ideals, values and life lessons through the traditional Ram Lila performances.
With the arrival of the sacred idol from Ayodhya, the organisers hope to bring residents together for the upcoming celebrations, which will centre on devotion, culture and community participation.
