Noida : Noida HighRise Federation (NHRF) President and social activist Nikhil Singhal hoisted the national flag at Yadu Public School, Noida, as the chief guest on the occasion of Independence Day. Students, teachers and parents participated in the celebrations with patriotic enthusiasm.

NHRF Vice President Ashutosh Rai, Secretary Kapil Mehra and Rishi Purwar, Director at Intel Technologies, were also present at the school’s Independence Day programme.

A call for a cleaner and greener Noida

Addressing the students, Nikhil Singhal, President, NHRF, said that freedom comes with responsibility and urged the younger generation to contribute towards building a cleaner, greener, safer and more developed India.

“Freedom is not only our right but also a great responsibility. The future of the country is in the hands of our children. We must give them an India that is clean, green, safe and developed. Let us pledge this Independence Day to contribute towards making our city Noida cleaner and greener,” he said.

He encouraged students to make national unity, environmental protection and social responsibility an integral part of their daily lives. He also emphasised that patriotism should not remain limited to slogans but should be reflected in everyday actions.

NHRF Team Joins First One Rehab Foundation Celebration

Following the programme at Yadu Public School, Nikhil Singhal and members of the NHRF team attended an Independence Day celebration organised by First One Rehab Foundation at the Community Hall in Sector 122, Noida.

Several dignitaries and social workers attended the event, including former MLA and former Uttar Pradesh State Women’s Commission Chairperson Vimla Batham, social worker Shalini Singh, Amit Tyagi, Regional President, Western Uttar Pradesh, Hindu Yuva Vahini, N.P. Singh, President, DDRWA and CAPSI (Central Association of Private Security Industry), Uttar Pradesh, Satyam Pandey and Mahesh Saxena, President, Noida Lok Manch. The guests extended Independence Day greetings and spoke about strengthening national unity, social harmony, dignity, inclusivity and patriotism.

Focus on civic responsibility

Speaking on the occasion, Singhal said that NHRF would continue working with social organisations, RWAs, high-rise societies and citizen groups to contribute towards improving Noida. He said Independence Day serves as a reminder not only of citizens’ rights but also of their responsibilities towards society and the nation. The celebrations concluded with patriotic slogans of “Jai Hind” and “Vande Mataram.”
