This translates to a strong 98% year-on-year growth, making Punch the biggest contributor to the company’s overall sales.
Its affordable pricing, solid build quality and strong popularity in the micro-SUV segment continue to drive demand, making the Punch one of the most sought-after small SUVs in the Indian market.

Tata Punch is priced from ₹5.59 lakh to ₹10.54 lakh (ex-showroom). It gets a bold, sporty design with a refreshed front grille and LED lighting, while the cabin features a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster and comfortable seating. Feature highlights include a sunroof and wireless charging. On the safety front, the Punch comes with six airbags as standard and has secured a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating.
The SUV is available with petrol, turbo-petrol and CNG powertrain options. Depending on the variant, the petrol versions offer a claimed mileage of around 18.8-20.09 km/l, while the CNG version delivers up to 26.99 km/kg.

Tata Nexon: The Tata Nexon secured the second spot in July 2026 with 17,471 units sold, registering a solid 36% year-on-year growth compared with the same month last year. Its consistent sales performance reflects the model’s strong demand in the Indian market.

The Tiago has also maintained strong demand in smaller cities, particularly among first-time car buyers looking for an affordable and practical hatchback for everyday use.

Tata Sierra: Tata Motors’ new Sierra recorded sales of 6,327 units in July 2026. With no comparable sales figure from the previous year, the Sierra’s July numbers represent its performance as a new entrant in the market.
Achieving over 6,000 units in the early phase of its launch points to strong initial demand. Its modern SUV design, premium styling and feature-rich cabin have helped attract attention from buyers.

Tata Harrier: The premium SUV recorded sales of 3,301 units in July 2026, registering a strong 49% year-on-year growth over the 2,216 units sold in the same month last year. Its bold design, powerful engine and premium features have helped the Harrier maintain a strong presence in the mid-size SUV segment.
Demand for the Harrier has also been growing among both family buyers and adventure enthusiasts, thanks to its combination of road presence, performance and practicality.

Tata Altroz: The premium hatchback recorded sales of 2,862 units in July 2026, down 27% from the 3,905 units sold in the same month last year. The decline comes amid intensifying competition in the segment and shifting consumer preferences.
Despite the drop in sales, the Altroz continues to stand out for its stylish design and strong safety credentials, helping it retain its appeal among buyers looking for a premium hatchback.

Tata Curvv: The coupe-SUV recorded sales of 1,697 units in July 2026, down 15% from the 2,005 units sold in the same month last year. The decline suggests that the initial post-launch excitement around the model may be easing.
Despite its distinctive coupe-inspired design, the Curvv faces growing competition in the segment, while its pricing could also be influencing buyer decisions and sales performance.

Tata Safari: Tata Motors’ flagship SUV recorded sales of 1,453 units in July 2026, marking a 17% year-on-year increase over the 1,242 units sold in the same month last year.
Its spacious seven-seat layout, strong performance and premium features continue to make the Safari a popular choice among large families and buyers who frequently take long road trips.
