Noida: The School of Information Technology at IMS Noida, Sector 62, successfully organised ‘CodeQuest-2026: Reverse Coding Treasure Hunt’ through its Coding Club. The competition aimed to encourage programming skills, logical analysis, problem-solving abilities and teamwork among students.
During the event, participants took on a series of reverse coding challenges, solving problems to unlock clues leading them to the next stage of the treasure hunt. The innovative format transformed coding into an engaging and competitive activity, allowing students to demonstrate their technical knowledge, creative thinking, logical reasoning and team coordination.
Dr Jyoti Tripathi, coordinator of the event, said that the ‘Algorithm Hunters’ team secured the first position, followed by ‘Chanakya Ke Chele’ in second place and ‘Our Coding Journey’ in third place. The winning teams were awarded trophies and certificates, while all participants received certificates of participation.
In his inaugural address, Prof. (Dr) J.K. Sharma, Advisor, IMS Noida, said that the purpose of technical education is not limited to imparting knowledge but also to developing essential skills such as innovation, logical thinking, problem-solving and teamwork.
He said that events like CodeQuest-2026 provide students with a practical and engaging learning platform, enabling them to apply their knowledge to challenges and prepare themselves to handle real-world situations more effectively.
Prof. (Dr) Ajay Gupta, Head, School of IT, said that in today’s digital era, merely learning coding is not enough. Students also need the ability to analyse problems logically, innovate and work collaboratively to develop effective solutions.
He added that CodeQuest-2026 would help students strengthen their technical skills while also building confidence, leadership abilities and an industry-oriented mindset, preparing them better for future challenges.
