Greater Noida: Residents of Devla Village have raised concerns over severe waterlogging and poor sanitation, alleging that drains have not been cleaned for a long time, resulting in stagnant, foul-smelling water across parts of the locality.

According to residents, an entire lane, including the area around a three-storey residential building, remains submerged due to clogged drains and inadequate water drainage. The waterlogging has made it difficult for people to move in and out of their homes, causing significant inconvenience in their daily lives.

Residents Fear Health Risks

Residents say the stagnant water has created unhygienic conditions, with foul odour and mosquito breeding exacerbating their concerns. They fear the situation could increase the risk of mosquito-borne diseases and other infections, especially during the ongoing monsoon season.

Demand for Immediate Intervention

Locals have appealed to the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) and the district administration to take urgent corrective measures. They have demanded the immediate cleaning of drains, the removal of stagnant water, and the restoration of proper drainage to prevent further deterioration of the situation.

Residents say prompt action is essential to ensure public safety and improve sanitation in the affected area.
