Sharda University to Host Symposium on Innovation Commercialization, Launch ICTTH

Greater Noida: Sharda Launchpad Federation, in association with Vastav Intellect IP Solutions (VIIPS) and the IPR Cell of Sharda University, will organise a symposium on “Transforming Innovations to Impact” on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Sharda University, Greater Noida. The event will also mark the formal launch of the Innovation Commercialisation & Technology Transfer Hub (ICTTH), a joint initiative aimed at accelerating technology transfer, intellectual property commercialisation and industry-academia collaboration.

Focus on Taking Research Beyond Laboratories

The symposium aims to bring together experts from academia, industry, government organisations, research institutions, startups, investors and innovation support agencies to deliberate on effective strategies for converting research and innovations into commercially viable products and solutions with real societal impact.
Discussions will focus on technology transfer, intellectual property management, innovation commercialisation, startup-led growth and strengthening collaboration between academic institutions and industry.

ICTTH to Strengthen Innovation Ecosystem

A major highlight of the event will be the launch of the Innovation Commercialisation & Technology Transfer Hub (ICTTH). The hub has been established to facilitate technology licensing, intellectual property commercialisation, industry partnerships and innovation-driven growth by creating a structured platform for collaboration among stakeholders.

The initiative is expected to support researchers, innovators and startups in taking promising technologies from laboratories to the marketplace.

Objectives of the Symposium

The organisers aim to:

  • Promote discussions on transforming research into market-ready innovations.
  • Explore best practices in technology transfer and intellectual property management.
  • Strengthen collaboration among academia, industry, startups, investors and policymakers.
  • Identify opportunities for joint research, technology licensing and commercialisation.
  • Introduce ICTTH to the broader innovation ecosystem.
  • Develop a roadmap for long-term stakeholder engagement and collaborative innovation.

The symposium is expected to generate actionable recommendations for strengthening India’s innovation commercialisation ecosystem, facilitate strategic networking among stakeholders and identify new partnership opportunities. It will also enhance institutional efforts supporting innovation, entrepreneurship and technology commercialisation.

Distinguished Speakers and Panel Discussions

The programme will begin with a roundtable discussion on Innovation Commercialisation through Startups and Technology Transfer from 11:45 am to 1:15 pm at Block 2.

The symposium session at the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Auditorium, Block 3, will commence at 2:20 pm with the welcome and felicitation of guests.

Key addresses will be delivered by:

  • Dr Bhuvnesh Kumar, Dean Research, Sharda University
  • Prof. (Dr.) Sibram Khara, Vice Chancellor, Sharda University
  • Avinash Kumar, Former Scientist G, DRDO Headquarters
  • Dr Love Sarin, Project Director, Bharat Innovates
    The panel discussion will feature Dr Vinay Kumar Nangia, Distinguished Professor, IIT Roorkee and Dr Mahavir Singh, President, Acoustic Society of India and Former Scientist G, CSIR. The session will be moderated by Dr Amit Sehgal, Director, Sharda Launchpad Federation.

Launch of ICTTH and ImpactSathi Portal

The official launch of ICTTH will take place at 3:30 pm, followed by an address from Mr Venkatesh Bharti highlighting the vision and objectives of the hub.

The event will also witness the launch and live demonstration of the ImpactSathi Portal by Mr Ashish Kushwaha, showcasing a platform designed to support innovation and collaboration.

The programme will conclude with a vote of thanks by Dr Mohit Sahni, Associate Dean Research, followed by high tea.

The organisers have invited academicians, researchers, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, startup founders and innovation professionals to participate in the event and contribute to discussions on strengthening India’s innovation ecosystem.
