Noida: Residents of Eldeco Aamantran, Sector-119, Noida, along with affected parents, have raised concerns over the proposed removal of a crèche and pre-school facility that has been operating in the society for nearly 10 years.
The residents have alleged that the current conditional Apartment Owners Association (AOA) has been taking policy and financial decisions despite ongoing concerns and directions issued by government authorities, including the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) and the Deputy Registrar (DR), Firms, Societies and Chits.
Dispute Over Rent Revision and Eviction Notice
The latest controversy relates to the crèche and pre-school facility operating inside the society premises. Parents and residents allege that the AOA has demanded an approximately 100% increase in rent from the crèche operator and has asked her to vacate the premises after she did not agree to the revised terms.
The issue has emerged during an ongoing academic session, when several children are already enrolled at the facility.
Crèche Operator Seeks Fair Investigation
Crèche operator Smt. Suruchi said that she has been running the crèche and pre-school at Eldeco Aamantran for around a decade and that the proposed rent increase is unreasonable.
She stated that she expects a fair inquiry from the administration to ensure that the interests of children and parents are protected. She also alleged that there are attempts to replace her with another operator, a claim that has been raised by her as part of the ongoing dispute.
Parents Fear Impact on Children and Working Families
Parents have expressed concern that shutting down the facility would disrupt the education, care arrangements, and daily routines of several children and working families living in the society.
They said that a facility which has been operating successfully for years should not be discontinued abruptly, especially during the middle of an academic session.
Residents Raise Broader Governance Concerns
Residents have also alleged that several important decisions are being taken by the current conditional AOA while related inquiries remain pending. These include claims regarding opening new bank accounts, transfer of society funds, scrap-related decisions, amendments to bylaws, and other policy matters.
Residents further alleged that certain directions issued by authorities, including those related to PVVNL, SDM, and the Deputy Registrar, have not been fully complied with.
Residents Seek Immediate Administrative Intervention
Resident Vaibhav Kunal said that the matter is not only about a crèche but concerns the future of many families and young children. He urged authorities to intervene immediately, stating that any disruption during the academic session could seriously affect children and working parents.
Resident Pooja Thakur alleged that the current conditional AOA has not been functioning in accordance with applicable rules and requested effective action from the authorities. She stated that residents may consider a peaceful democratic protest outside the Deputy Registrar’s office if their concerns are not addressed.
Appeal to District Administration
Residents and affected parents have requested intervention from District Magistrate Gautam Buddh Nagar Smt. Medha Rupam, SDM Shri Anuj Nehra, and Deputy Registrar Shri Nikhilesh Ranjan.
They have sought an inquiry into the alleged violations of government directions, a review of policy decisions taken during the pending investigation period, protection of children’s interests, and appropriate legal action if violations are established by the competent authorities.
