Greater Noida: Serious concerns have been raised over the deteriorating condition of the 130-metre road connecting Dhada Gol Chakkar to the Haier industrial area in Greater Noida. Large potholes have developed on the main carriageway near Dabar village, creating a potential risk for commuters and increasing the possibility of a major road accident.

Deep potholes pose a Threat to commuters

According to residents and daily commuters, several large potholes have appeared on the stretch near Dabar village. The damaged road surface has made driving difficult, especially for two-wheeler riders and motorists travelling during night hours or in adverse weather conditions. Frequent users of the road say that vehicles are often forced to slow down abruptly or change lanes to avoid the potholes, increasing the chances of collisions and loss of control.

Industrial traffic adds to risk

The road serves as an important link between Dhada Gol Chakkar and the Haier industrial area and witnesses heavy movement of industrial vehicles, employee transport buses and private vehicles throughout the day. With increasing traffic volume, the presence of deep potholes has become a significant safety concern. Demand for immediate intervention by Greater Noida Authority

Residents have appealed to the concerned officials of the Greater Noida Authority to take immediate cognisance of the issue and initiate repair work. It is believed that the affected stretch falls under Division-6 of the authority. Citizens have urged the department to fill the potholes at the earliest and undertake necessary maintenance work to restore road safety before the onset of further monsoon damage.

Residents have stressed that road maintenance should be carried out proactively to prevent accidents and ensure smooth traffic movement. They have requested the authority to conduct a detailed inspection of the road and address the issue without delay.
