The metro will run from Botanical Garden to Sector-142 and Bodaki

Noida: For the expansion of the Aqua Line in the city, Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) on Wednesday issued tenders worth 2,254.35 crore for two projects: the link line from Greater Noida Depot to Bodaki Railway Station (2.6 km) and from Sector-142 to Botanical Garden (11.56 km). The construction company will be selected within 30 days.

It is expected that civil work on both projects will begin in August. The expansion project of the Aqua Line up to Bodaki will be completed in three years, while the construction of the link line metro will be completed in four years. Upon completion of these projects, approximately 200,000 people will directly benefit between the cities of Noida and Greater Noida.

It is worth noting that the operation of the link line route from Sector-142 to Botanical Garden will provide significant relief to passengers of the Blue Line running from Dwarka in Delhi to Sector-62 in Noida and the Magenta Line running from Botanical Garden to Janakpuri. The Botanical Garden metro station will be the largest interchange station of Noida and Greater Noida Metro.

With the creation of a new link, passengers of the Noida-Greater Noida Magenta and Blue Line will find it convenient to travel to Delhi IGI Airport, New Delhi, and Anand Vihar Railway Station. It will be very beneficial for reaching sectors, IT and corporate offices on the Noida-Greater Expressway or going to Greater Noida. Currently, Noida and Greater Noida are connected by the Aqua Line Metro. This line runs from Sector-51 Metro Station to Greater Noida Depot. The entire track is 29.707 km long.

Metro stations will be constructed from Sector-142 to Botanical Garden at Sector-44, the Noida Administrative Building at Sector-96, Sector-97, Sector-105, Sector-108, Sector-93, and Panchsheel Balak Inter College station. The last station of the corridor will be Sector-142, which is already completed.
On the 2.6-kilometer line from Greater Noida Depot to Bodaki, two metro stations, Junapat and Bodaki, will be built.
