Greater Noida West: Residents and shopkeepers associated with the Uferia Buyers Association staged a peaceful protest on May 17, 2026, at Uferia Mall, located near Ek Murti in Greater Noida West, raising concerns over alleged illegal charges and poor maintenance on the mall premises.
During the demonstration, protesters accused the builder of arbitrary collection of money in the name of the maintenance NOC and alleged that essential facilities such as water supply, electricity, cleanliness, and security management have deteriorated significantly. Shopkeepers and affected buyers participated in the protest, holding placards and demanding immediate intervention from the authorities.
According to the protesters, the lack of proper maintenance and inadequate security arrangements is causing inconvenience not only to traders but also to customers visiting the mall. Participants claimed that despite repeated complaints, several issues remain unresolved, affecting business operations and public convenience.
Members of the association also alleged that open liquor outlets inside the mall premises have led to public drinking in common areas. They stated that such activities have created a sense of insecurity among women, families and traders visiting the complex.
The association has urged the administration and concerned authorities to take immediate action against alleged illegal recovery practices and ensure better security, sanitation and basic civic facilities within the mall. Protesters also demanded regular monitoring and stricter law-and-order enforcement in the premises to restore a safe environment for visitors and business owners.
